Class Features: :: Wrath of the Storm When a creature within 5' of you that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to cause the creature to make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes 2d8 lighting or thunder damage (your choice) on a failed saving throw and half as much damage on a successful one. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Backstory: :: Kilik is a volamtar priest (”blazer of fresh trails”) of the lesser dwarven deity Marthammor Duin. As such, he was charged with maintaing the trails around Clanhold Forgegart and aiding travelers throughout the North. One such traveler was the Illuskan woman Laina Brightwind, who Kilik found wounded by orcs. He healed her, and together they escaped the orc band. As they traveled together, Kilik came to love Laina for her passion, curiosity, and wit. They returned to Clanhold Forgegart, where Kilik asked his clanlord father’s permission to marry not only an outsider, but a human at that. His father was furious, and when Kilik refused to end the relationship he was banished from the clanhold, “Forgeless”. Kilik and Laina did marry and lived happily in Waterdeep for many years, where he did day-work as a simple smith. But the lives of humans last only for a flickering moment, and old age recently took Laina from Kilik at the height of their love. Now widowed and forgeless, Kilik has rededicated himself to his god’s calling, though his faith is not what once it was.
